Course Description
This course provides a working knowledge of core competencies that form the foundation of technical communication: project planning, project analysis, content development, organisational design, written communication, visual communication, revising and editing, content management, and production and delivery.
Chris Hester and Jamie Gillenwater
Chris Hester is the founder of Red Desk Studio, a consultancy that specialises in content strategy, taxonomy, and knowledge management solutions. She is an accredited instructor for CPTC Training, a Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication, and is a frequent presenter at conference and techcomm events.
Jamie Gillenwater manages a team of technical communicators at a successful startup. She also works as an online instructor for CPTC Training and Bigger Brains. She’s worked with a variety of clients to help them improve their documentation and has led plain language workshops for the federal government. She is an Associate Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication. During her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and dog, being active, traveling, and meeting new people.
