Are you a researcher in usability, technical communication or localisation? The University of Strasbourg wants you! It is asking for proposals for its Symposium on Usability and Design, to be held next 3-4 April in Strasbourg, France.

But be quick – the deadline is Monday!

The symposium is on the theme of ‘Re-thinking Usability and Design: Examining Connections to Technical Communication and Localization’. It will be held in collaboration with Louisiana Tech University, and is free to attendees and presenters. Firehead will be attending through our industry connections to the university’s TCLoc programme.

The event offers a fantastic opportunity to present and review the latest research across the closely linked fields of usability, technical communication and localisation. It is also a chance for attendees to map trends, update old approaches or devise new ones to suit how people are accessing information in the digital age.

Individuals interested in presenting at the symposium are invited to submit a 250-300 word proposal to give a 15-20 minute talk. Proposals should be submitted as .doc files emailed to kirk.stamant@gmail.com, with the subject line reading ‘Strasbourg Symposium’.

Click for further information on potential topics and submissions.

The deadline for proposals in next Monday 2 December 2019.
