Technical communication is an exciting and challenging career that offers unlimited opportunity for professional development. But to succeed, it’s not enough to learn a desktop publishing or Help authoring tool—you need to master the analysis process. This is a thinking person’s dream career!

Come join Leah Guren as she offers her time-tested TechComm Bootcamp on the Firehead Training Academy!

This bootcamp is targeted for:

  • Anyone new to the field (or interested in learning more about the profession)
  • Anyone working in the field without formal training
  • Professionals returning to writing positions after a hiatus

Leah’s TechComm Bootcamp covers key theory that you can immediately apply to your work, as well as giving you the skills you need to continue to learn and grow.

Here’s Leah to tell you about it herself:

This is an asynchronous course with seven modules run in a cohort over seven weeks

Each module consists of a 75-minute recorded lecture, including downloadables for reference, and followed by a homework assignment for you to complete and upload on Sunday before the next module begins.

Each new module is opened up on Monday.

The schedule for the next cohort of TechComm Bootcamp is as follows:

Unit 1: Monday 1 September
Unit 2: Monday 8 September
Unit 3: Monday 15 September
Unit 4: Monday 22 September
Unit 5: Monday 29 September
Unit 6: Monday 6 October
Unit 7: Monday 13 October

Three times during the course, Leah offers office hours. These are live Zoom sessions where participants can ask questions, get help, or join in discussions with other students.

In addition to office hours, an online forum allows participants to share ideas and ask questions.

Come join in September and fire up your career!
