Calling Software Developers: It’s Time for TechComm Bootcamp!

Hello Visitor!

Are you an engineer, a programmer? Have you been working in your profession for 15, 20, maybe even 25 years?

You’re good, you’re skilled, you’re knowledgeable, but you’re starting to feel burned out? The incredible intensive pace, having to constantly learn new material and trying to keep up with younger coders who are coming in with this sort of AI mentality.

Maybe you’re interested in retraining into a new parallel career that will allow you to build on your technical knowledge and skill?

Meet Technical Communication. Think about being a tech writer.

TechComm is all about the process of creating content that will help your company’s users use the product safely and effectively.

You can retrain and learn this skill, assuming that you’re a reasonably good writer, in as little as seven weeks. Learn the basics, get started, and be able to build on your existing technical skills and get your foot in the door in a different, but parallel, career, staying on the technical side of things.

With about 5-10 hours per week of preparation for instruction time, you too can get your foot in the door of this mighty profession!

My name is Leah Guren. I teach the Techcomm Boot Camp course on the Firehead Training Academy.

Our next seven-week cohort starts on 13 April 2026. See the link below for more information.

Hope to see you in my course!
