This June will be Firehead’s sixth year of creating, collecting and curating insights about the world of digital communication for our job candidates and hiring clients.
For me personally, as Firehead’s founder, I’ve loved watching the field grow. It seems every year there are more new and exciting areas to recruit in. Digital communications is really expanding and it’s personally exciting to be a part of it.
Our company has also grown. We’ve moved into new hiring areas, such as augmented reality, plain language and metadata. In 2014, we joined with Cherryleaf in the UK to offer short online training courses in content strategy and technical communication, and also set up a client referral programme. And in the past year, we’ve focused more on building up and connecting with our community on Twitter, LinkedIn and our Content Strategy Bitesize group. We’ve got a lively community going in the virtual world.
So thanks for reading the Firehead blog. Happy sixth birthday to us and to our community. We look forward to talking to more of you and making more connections over the next 12 months, increasing our talented bank of job candidates and serving our clients who are seeking the best of the best digital talent in Europe.
To celebrate our blogging birthday, we’ve rounded up our top 10 most popular posts of the past year. We hope you enjoy the catch up. (If you like our mix of conference roundups, expert Q&As, starter kits and recruitment insights, you can subscribe to the Firehead blog’s RSS feed, or receive regular email updates directly into your inbox.)
