Many people will be looking for a new job this year. This may be for positive reasons (digital upscaling, new content roles and operations) or negative ones (Covid-19 fallout, redundancy). Either way, as a specialist agency recruiting and training in digital communications, Firehead is here to help. We’re actively looking for talented content professionals in the following areas of digital communications:

  • Conversation designers
  • Technical authors
  • Content managers
  • UX writers
  • Content strategists
  • Ontologists
  • Instructional designers
  • Practitioners in knowledge graphs, semantic web

If this is you, start your job search by joining us at the best digital talent bank in Europe.

Please note: we can only accept CVs in a Word format (not PDFs) – we don’t change any details except contact information for recruitment purposes. You must also have valid legal paperwork in place to work in any location you are applying to as we are unable to provide work visas.

What is the market like for jobs in digital communications?

Last week we posted an update on the current jobs market in Content trends and predictions for 2021. One of these trends is the rise in freelance and contract work in the market.

CJ Walker, Firehead’s founder, managing director and lead recruiter, advised that: “Economic downturns tend to shift work away from salaried positions, where budgets and planning can feel insecure, to temporary work, consulting, contracting, freelance, where it’s not so hard to justify the budget for one project.”

On the re-training front, she added: “I’m also seeing a large uptake for certain digital comms skills such as UX writing and conversation design. These are new areas, and require investment in upskilling. Maybe now is a good time to add new content skills to your portfolio.”

Firehead is in the process of updating and expanding its training section to include a wider range of digital communications courses and short, bitesize e-learning options from experts in the field. Watch this place and click to view our current list of digital communications training courses.
